ok so my build consists of a control room and a multi-purpose room that i plan on recording vocals, drums, guitars, etc. The size is approx 8'x7'x6' tall. i plan on doing treatments similar to ethan on his site as far as building the treatment onto the walls instead of freestanding traps. My plan was to treat all 4 walls and ceiling for mid/high freq, a superchunk trap in 1 corner and broadband in the other 3 corners. the ceiling corners will be difficult because it angles a bit (will post pics later). Does that sound good to you guys or is the superchunk not necessary? My other question is, can i make some of the wall panels into broadband bass traps instead of straddling the corners to save space? that would be ideal as the room is pretty small. If so, what would be the best way to make them? (4" 703 with a small airspace behind?)
For a room that small you need to make it as dead as possible using absorption that's very thick. I know this is not specific, but how you handle to specific details doesn't matter. --Ethan
thanks for the reply ethan!

so are you suggesting to cover all surfaces up to 4" thick and not worry about details of broadband traps, etc?

He is suggesting that, he is saying that. There is no ambiguity in what Ethan wrote. +!, Andre
