hi folks,
i am building a studio in some kind of shed located in my garden.
the building is made of brick.
dimension is rougly 10m by 8,5.
the roof is slanted from 2m to 3,75 m.
there is already a bathroom (in use) that is also made of brick.
the spot where the entrance is on my plan is now a big gate with very bad soundproofing properties.
the plan is to throw the gate out and build a brick wall in it's place with a good new door in.
rooms will be built with double framed wood stud walls and double gyproc on each side.
hvac in control and live room.
control room dimensions are based on the M.M. Louden ratio of 1 : 1,4 : 1,9
there is enough height available to make the control room ceiling sloped towards the back of the room. that makes front 2,7m to back max 3,7m
is this usefull?
any thoughts on my floorplan or construction plan?
thanks a lot,
arjan

Where to begin...
I think you should first check other designs in order to create your own. This design has many flaws. Creating a floorplan takes some time, but I'm sure you'll be abel to come up with a great plan in the end.
Either check Jonh (L. Sayers) his designs (on his main page) or look for sketches made by Gulffo (who I haven't seen here for a while, what's up with that?) They both did great jobs which we all can learn from.
I think you could leave the "big" entrance as it is and create a portal/storage right there. Big doors are always handy, but not soundproof. As you mentioned. But there's good options to soundproof that.
Go ahead and learn by reading this design forum from head to tow :)
