I contacted my local Roxul dealer to buy some materials for acoustic panels, and the sales person told me about this new stuff. http://bondedlogic.com/ anyone ever check this out?
yea that stuff is good but is designed for in-wall use instead of standard fiberglass batts. Not sure what kind of "panels" you are building but for broadband or HF absorbers u want to use OC 703 or equivelent.
Irondog - unfortunately they don't give the full acoustic spec for the product on their website other than the specs for the 3/8" pad - which BTW look very good for 3/8" I've used a similar product made from dacron for studios as some clients don't want fiberglass in their buildings. I'd use the 3" version for wall treatment as an alternative to 703. cheers john
Thank you guys for the replies. I am going to go with the proven roxul for my wall treatments. I am considering the other stuff for isolation in a future studio, possibly even adding isolation a regular room with the 3/8 material. As fr as Roxul goes, what RHT should I use for my bass traps and broadband absorber panels 40,60 or 80? I searched around the forums and saw many nice guides on how to build them , but not really specifics on what RHT to use. mabey I am blind
