Okay, my girlfriend and I are house hunting. As she knows one major priority is room for my studio in either the basement, garage or attic. I am looking to install a control room, live room, and vox booth. Anyone have advice as to the minimum space I would need for this build. Also if anyone has advice as to what to look for?? Finished basement or unfinished. ect.
P.S. I currently work at Sweetwater Sound and just found this forum. This is a great resource for some of my customers. Even those customers who record vox in their closet's and use a stocking with a hanger as a pop filter.lol. So to all who post on this forum. THANKS for passing along some knowlege.

Welcome to the forum - I'd be looking at around 500 sqft +.

Okay thanks for the reply. As far as labor and cost efficiency, would it be better to work off existing walls and floors or maybe an unfinished basement/garage. Ive seen many different builds on this forum and I dont know which would be best for me. Also, do you have a design thats approx 500sq feet so I could get an idea. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
TJ - we really need to see your actual room - there are heaps of designs on this site that are around 500sqft but each pertains to it's individual situation. You probably aren't going to find an exact 500 sqft.
