Hello,
I'm moving to new flat and need to make my new bedroom studio. I was mixing in small cubic shape room before and was able to get deacent sound, but now I have rather long room-6.5m x 2.4m(around 21x7.5 feet),so it's almost hall-type, and I'm not sure how to aproach monitor placement and wall treatment. Probably it would be good to put something behind my back to eliminate direct sound reflection from walls, and some apsorbe surface behind speakers? I'm pretty newbie with studio construction so I would appreciate some advice.
thanks:)

Sorry...
Welcome jackob! Did you ever see those picture pages in school or books that had what looked like identical pictures but one had MANY missing items?
See if you can tell what is the difference between what you have given the community to work with VS the poster boy at this page:

At the very most, you must read and do most of what can be found on the page linked below:

oh,
thanks for welcoming me and giving me some directions...;)anyways, the information that I probably didn't supply are: all walls and ceilings are made of concrete, only the right upper part(on section)is made of drywall, on floors I have wood, the hight is 2.4m( around 7.9 ft). I don't intend to mix at loud levels, more moderate(not sure how much dBs though), and am not trying to achieve professional monitoring room( I can guess how much money I would need for this) so I end up in group around $500 . I don't intend to record any instruments here, my only goal is mixing, and for the start I just wanted some fundamental infos about positioning monitors etc. I did search this forum and through the web, but was unable to find someone with similar shaped room(so longitudinal).
Oh, and i'm from Croatia btw.
jackob - your version 'B' is the way to go.

There are a few container studios around here and other similar constructions as yours, so just browse around and you should have a pretty good idea where to go from here.
