After working now for 3 years in my control, I guess theres time for the next level. Here I post my last sketchup idea, maybe you tell me your suggestions? All clothes I coloured in brown, the sketchy surfaces are slot resonator. The yellow blocks are rockwool, I used them as a big basstrap, cause upon the stairway theres some useless space. I dont need soffit mounted speakers, I just painted them there. I use B&W 802 series 3. I am excited! slam

At first glance it looks good. Are the splays calculated to give a RFZ? What are the dimensions? Is the room ratio good? Andre
I made the skp file in the right dimensions, dont know them right now. If you open it, you can see them (metric) The dimensions are fixe, I cant change the walls.

Email me the skp file. Andre
you can download it, in the first post, right under the .jpg is the download link.

I got it. I don't know how I missed it. Andre
Room ratio is good. Side wall reflections are good Monitors are about 400 mm high compared to EBU spec (1 200 mm for acoustic centre of monitor) Ceiling has reflections less 15 ms after initial sound. Overall it looks good! Andre
@AVare: how do you calculate these things? I dont know how to calculate th hangers. Here I changed them on the left side (right side shows the old idea). Would it be better to make some bigger hangers there? Does somebody know, how I can calculate the absorption of a hanger? I guess, more weight and size will lower the frequency? slam

Has nobody an idea, how to calculate these hangers?
AFAIK there's no method for calculating absorption hangers. I know John has build a few of'm maybe he can tell you something about it...
What do mean by calculate for the hangers? Maximum absorption is down a quarter wave theory based, 1/7 wavelength from empirical studies. Andre
Ok, so why I should not fill the space completely with the Rockwool? Would be easier than building hangers.

Excessive impedance miss-match at the surface of the absorber. Andre
easiest method is the halve the distance and hang a hanger, then halve again and again until you've filled the space.
