I am moving into a house in Sept. and building a studio in a 14' x 11' bedroom. I already this 5x6 foot iso room which I'm going to disassemble and put in the new studio -- probably in a corner about six inches away from each wall on a rubber gym floor (to protect the hardwood):

I've set up my drums in this little iso room and it actually does a good job of volume reduction, so... I want to do it more and starting recording drums. But, I would like to "soundproof" the walls of the actual bedroom (in a non-destructive manner) as an additional sound reducer -- as much as possible anyway, without covering windows permanently.
I was thinking of building some "lite walls" out of eight foot 1x4s with fiberglass insulation (R-13?) in between the studs, and then sandwich it with 1/8" high-density fiberboard and/ or soundboard. I figure I could move them around if I need to, but I'm wondering if there isn't a cheaper, and more thorough way to stop sound from escaping the room. Do the windows need to be covered?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
