Ok guys, thanks to a lot of articles i read on this very forum and some questions answered by you, my rehearsal studio is nearly ready!
i attached a bunch of pics so i'd appreciate suggestions!
the sound is pretty good, as is the isolation, but theres a bit of sound "leakage" (???) through the door, which was expected, as all i done was use 2 regular doors and seal it with some rubber
about the acousticts, there's a bit of feedback on the mics, and they're gone once i cut high frequencies on my mixer, so i suppose i need some high-freq absorbers?? the panels you see hanging there are all rockwool and from what i read (Ethans articles, i think), to absorb higher frequencies, i'd need the so-called 703 rigid fiberglass panels and the thinner they are, the higher they'll absorb, but i cant find it here in Brazil :( any suggestions as to what i should do about those high-frequencies?
and last, but not least, i dont know if the pictures are good enough in this regard, but what kind of positioning would you guys suggest for the amps, drums and speakers in the room?
thanks a lot guys!
PS - For some reason, the comments dont seem to stick with the pics :( i'll try to describe them from top to bottom:
Pic 1 - Doors from the outside
Pic 2 - As much as i could get in a picture of the whole room
Pic 3 - Guitar amps. Are they ok placed like this? one right beside the other?
Pic 4 - The "drum-wall" with the absorbing panels
Pic 5 - The oposing wall to the drums (the door is right on the right side of this picture)
Pic 6 - The whole drumkit with the panels

on with the pics 8)
1 - "drum and bass" :P this pic was taken from the door
2 - speaker 1: bass amp on the right and guitar amp on the left
3 - speaker 2: guitar amp on the right, window and door (duh) on the right. Pic taken from the drums
4 - the door and window wall
5 - i dont know what this is called :( this is there the door closes shut on the floor. my picture sucks, but if u look closely, you'll see a small rubber yellow thingie right outside the wood. this goes all along the door, suposedly to seal it
6 - doors from the inside
should this really be at studio design??
Pretty much when the studios finish this is the place people write about it.should this really be at studio design??
