I are planning to build a acoustic drum room 3m x 3.6m within a much larger office space located on 4th floor and would like advise on the sound isolation. It is very very expensive to built one by the soundproofing company so i would have to seek a installer(I am a real clumsy person) and guide them with help here if possible. But I do have some experience with vocal booth but not with a drum room.
The room wall, base cannot be built of concrete, cement or brick( building regulation) and common material here are gypsum, plywood MDF and metal stud 1"x2" are avaliable. This room will house a 15"acoustic drum and isolation has to be very good or i am forced to abandon the project. Please help.

There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible. The announcement leads to this post. Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will not reply if you do not do what is written the post.
Thanks AVare for the reminder, miss this sticky totally, maybe have a popup article appear on the first post for newbie(just a thought)! :)
Ok I will try to put a better picture this time
Location: Malaysia, 4th level in a large office premise
Overview: I am trying to built a drum booth in a larger space premise 20mx10mx5m ht where the booth will be surround by normal office activity. Probably one side will be near a wall.
Finish inside Booth Size: 3.6mx3mx2.4m ht
Loudness: background sound level outside the booth when jamming (estimate 110db) acceptable at 50dBA
Budget: RM20K for structure construction. Please advise.
Construction as follow: Floating Box
Floating platform:
Carpet - 2x ½” ply - 2GG – ½” MDF - 2GG ½”" MDF - 2"x4" wood stud with 4" 80kgrockwool – ½”rubber mount
Platform is ok with local Engineer.
Wall:
Double stud on platform. 3layers 5/8” drywall w 2GG between each layer - 2"x4" c-metal stud 0.5mm thick, 16"OC with 4" 80kg rockwool on both side, 2" air gap between stud. Wood stud are expensive here and metal stud are a lot cheaper but if necessary I will still use them.
Ceiling on wall:
Same as wall construction.
Door:
One opening stardard 3’x7’, double solid 1 ¾”thickness door w green glue and full frame like a window and seal install with decouple frame.
Window:
Fixed 6/8” glass – big airgap – ¼” glass. Basically following John Shryock
method.
The construction will look like 2 overtrun open box over each other with a 2" air gap between them onto a platform. Will this construction be good enought to soundproof a drum set?
