Dear All, We're completing our House. And I prepare a Room for my Mix Studio. It's based on L.W. Sepmeyer room ratio 1:1.14:1.39, I assumed the Hi will be 3m height. so the room is about 3.4m x 4.2m. But, now our Music Industry falling down to the worst time. Labels reducing the project's budgets. so I'm thinking to add a booth will handling vocals tracking, guitars amp (combo) micing dub, small percussions dub stuff etc, to response this situation. But I'm still hope I can get the best for my Mixing Room. Is it still possible to achieve best room modes? Please...... And, are there any replacement for Fiberglass/Rockwool? Something more save for health? Not Itchy? btw, this is my last post, you may cek the unprofesional "layout" there :D . All of the wall is Brick Wall. Solid Brick. I plan to use solid wood flooring too. Now it's pouring with mortar. Thanks before....

ANyone? My post not detail? Please guide me....
How large is your tracking room? Unless it is at least 4m x 6m (~12' x 19'), I would not reduce its size by putting in an isolation booth. Regarding fiberglass health risks read this. Cotton is used in your part of world for sound absorption. It looks great! Andre
Do you have a link about cotton? How about this. And How about Dacron?

I do not understand you. You ask alternatives to a safe product, and I suggest cotton. You now post to me with a link to cotton insulation and ask me for a link to cotton? I know of no absorption data on Dacron. Andre
This is what I call : Languange Problem or Gramatical Problem.... Sorry ANdre, I mean, I'm still nubie here. Don't know much about acoustic or insulation products. And here, in my country, it's hard to find "this forum" products like 703 etc etc... So I need links to study and hopefully can contact them ask for distributor in Indonesia. And if they don't have reps here, I'll go search for similar products.
Hello Again, I have to go back after cannot afford to pay profesional acoustician :( . Our Budget is very limited to US$2500. So, I learn again how to use sketchup, My existing wall is brick wall. Please Comment : Usually, we using window behind the speaker to "look" at singer/player in booth. And build a door to entrance the booth. The idea is to build Sliding Window-Door. It has Window and Door Function. So the wall will be 3 leaf, Drywall Control Room, Drywall Booth and the brick itself. But, I don't know how the isolation will be? The Room Picture here is not isolated yet. Just to clarifying and get the perspektif. The Isolation will be 2 layer drywall (12mm) (Hollow-Steel Framing), fill with isulation (Fiberglass). How the isolation will be if compared to 2 leaf 2 layer drywall with wood stud framing? And About the cavity from brick to frame, is bout 1". Is it enough? I'm tryin to save space :) I'm little bit confusing here, because Rod's book not have much example of existing Brick Wall, so where I will install the Insulation fiberglass? "IN" the steel frame (so the fiber will touch the gypsum/drywall) or should I built independent framing to housing the fiberglass and nail it to the brickwall? My Friends studio kept the Windows behind for the sunlight and build a sliding diffusor just when need it. Is it okay? I hear everything ok, except the sound from outside still little bit audible. But it's because he did'nt treat the exisiting window (seal etc). Please Help, I really know not much and like to have experience to build my own studio. Forgive my english, grammar structure and maybe the words I using. It can be uncomfortable for you. :) especially the picture here. I'm still open for better layout and design!!! Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
