What is it for? Does it provide a better sound?
The purpose of a floating floor is to increase the sound isolation provided by the floor. The problem with floors is usually the low frequencies. Think of a building near a train track or truck highway. The building itself vibrates. Walls can not stop the floor from shaking, so they are floated. Floating floors are not used to get a better sound. They can make it worse if not properly designed as part of the room system. Andre

I am quite certain that your questions are not annoying. Just learn to use the built-in forum search function and make sure to do thorough research on your own hand before posting. To answer your question. Try using the search function using the words "floating floor" and see what happens. /Gash
