I work for a store fixture company, and we have been producing these panels for a display. I was wondering if they would work well for recording studio applications - we are making them out of MDF, but they could be made out of anything really - LDF, etc. It is basically a random pattern cut in MDF. See attached pictures. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Sure they work in studio applications... tho they don't have any real acoustic value (as in expected diffusing for example)
plus they look pretty cool!
Those panels look pretty cool  Helix it would be nice if you could gice us an idea of the finished price / sqf & the maximum dimensions. Cheers.
They can be made in any size, up to 5x10. 4x8 would be more typical. I would have to figure out a cost - I will get back to you on that. So there wouldn't be any acoustic value to the random pattern? I wasn't sure if it was deep enough to be significantly different than a flat wall. Thanks, Chris
