What have you tried so far?
Nothing...as off yet, i was gona frame up the orignal door, then put plywood on it an fill it with sand?
I only got one door so i kinda want to get it right the first time.
The sealing of it is fine , i just want a good weight...
How exactly are you going to fill it with sand? Hollow doors aren't really hollow you know......... they have corse inside them that keep the 2 sides from collapsing and the door from warping. I don't see any way to fill it. You'll see what I mean once you start looking at it closely. That would be a neat trick ;) What have you looked into for the threshold and jamb areas, anything? Even if you could fill a hollow core up with sand, and it didn't fall off the frame or bulge out and distort the door, the jamb and threshold are points of concern.Nothing...as off yet, i was gona frame up the orignal door, then put plywood on it an fill it with sand? A reply to your question Rod, i was gona frame the outside and inside of the whole door, then put plywood on it and fill it. However xspace has got a good question, "what if the hinges come of from the weight, and if it creates a boldge in the door.
So to answer your question i dont exactly know what wuld happen to the door?
This is a low cost studio by the way, in a perfect world i would get someone else to build it.
Thanks
