Im a music production student thats just finished my second year, I am attempting to design and build my own studio over the coming summer, i have a concrete base of approximatley 17'x20' to build upon. Basically my parents are letting me build a garden building, but they dont want it to be solely for my recording studio, so i have to compromise by letting them have space within the building, or use of a room, when they desire. They also dont want the inside room shapes to be that radical either ie. no extremely angled walls. Theyve told me when they come to sell up and move, they would like to say the building can be used for many things, and not restricted to a recording studio. Im really a beginner here, so dont have a great deal of knowledge of studio design, however i know bit on absorption, wave reflection and cancelation and understand the importance of treating a room. The design below, was the first thing i designed in sketup, it was just an inital thought. I would really appreciated any help and suggestion of the best way to utilise the space. Kind regards. Tom

I'd suggest you follow some of the basic forum rules, and I'll bet you'll get response to your liking. I'd check the "Read this before you post" kinda stuff if I were you, before the flamethrowers see the light of day... Also... your CR is not symmetrical... there's where you need to study some more I would guess... at least if you've read some of the great stuff in here... took me well over 3 months to read all...
You need more then an opinion...you need a wrecking crew!!!!
There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible. The announcement leads to this post. Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will not reply if you do not do what is written the post.
