I have Mackie VLZ Pro preamps which i'd like to use with my Behringer ECM8000 mic to acoustically tune my room using the ETF Acoustic progam i purchased a couple years ago. Now i was looking into getting my mic calibrated but thought "Hey doesn't this preamp add frequency coloration itself?"; sure enough I have read that it does.
So i was wondering... During ETF's sound card calibration process (i.e. when you hook the sound card up to itself and ETF corrects for the sound card's deficiencies), could I also run the signal through the preamp and back into the sound card to have ETF correct for the coloration coming from the preamp?? I mean wouldn't the ETF program just interpret the preamp in the signal chain as part of what the sound card is producing?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

you could try writing Doug at ETF and asking him.
Great idea. I will give him a shout.
P.S. anyone know a good place to get mic calibration done?
Thanks
