Hey guys, Id love to be able to build a complete studio..... but atm its looking like ill just be able to create a mixing room... that hopefully i could also record vocals in **highly doubt**. I've attached some sketchs with measurements of the room, height is 2.4m as well. If anyone wants to hit me up for the sketchup file i can send it to you.

I was thinking of setting it up like this, but i need help with design and placement of Slat (slot) resonators, High absorbers and any other helpful information. Before anyone states to use the search feature i have, and i havent found a heap of useful information, so i was actually thinking that after i have all my info i might do a write up so its easier for people to find.

Thanks in advance guys, Talwin
i'd treat the corners with superchunks, add first reflection point absorbers, including the back wall, and on the angled corner a 100mm absorber to reduce reflections.
Hi Talwin, "Before anyone states to use the search feature i have, and i havent found a heap of useful information, so i was actually thinking that after i have all my info i might do a write up so its easier for people to find. " /quote The boolean search function that has been on the web since it was the Internet, looonng before it became the "InnerNet", is like a hungry animal. You have to feed it. To perform a search on "I need some room treatment" may or may not bring up usable information. A more focused search phrase "design AND Slat (slot) OR resonators" will bring you much luck. It is also the presentation of the proverbial double-edged sword. Not only will you locate the information you desire, now you must read it. And one time will never do. You may read it for several months before you completely burn out. But you will "get it" if you are wanting it bad enough. What we need is a write up on how to use the search feature ;) Good luck boss!
lol xspace :P i was doing searchs for things like slot and slat resonators, and i've actually found alot more info since i posted this thread, im just busy drawing up some plans atm for resonators and traps, then ill post up for some feedback :D
ok.....

I was thinking of making.... 1. Bass traps Front and Rear. box's 150 x 1200 x 600mm with 100mm Insulation (705) and a 50mm gap between them and the wall. Stacking them 3 high, so 1200(wide) x 1800(high) in total on back and front wall. 2. Broadband Absorbers, 1200 x 600 x 100mm with 50mm insulation (703) and a 50mm gap before the end of the frame, on stands in the corners thats 1200 high by 600 wide. 3. Montage wall of absorbers, 600 x 600 x 100mm with 50mm insulation (703) and 50mm gap between that and the wall. do a punch of them approx 1800 x 1800 (3 x 3) have them in different colours for a nice touch. And then a thick curtain over the window. Thoughts???
Here are my designs for the panels. The ones in the corners would be the same as the Panels (tiles) except they would be 1200 x 600 as stated above. Im also thinking about putting one of these on the door (on the angled wall).

What about the use of slot resonators???? using slats 19mm thick and varying widths of 50, 100, 150mm and varying slot widths of 5, 10 and 20mm That would work for 200-600hz approx How would i deal with the 600hz+ range? Maybe replace the panel wall with two slot resonators....... such as bellow.
