Hello ,
this is my first post and I suspect not the last as I'm going to be building my own studio in my garden, in September.
I'll try to gather as much info as possible to do all the design work before september,
but ideally I'd like to find a professional acoustician to help me design the place.
I don't know yet the exact measurements, but it will be roughly 20' X 15' with unlimited ceiling height, building from scratch and I don't know whether the fact that it's a studio should be taken into account when building the initial construction or not.
Also I'd like to have a small drum/vocal booth, but I was advised elsewhere that it would be too small for that and that I'd be better off with one big room.
Anyway I'll have loads more questions along the process and will really appreciate some help from the pros around here.
Thanks,
Jean
Studio designers in France?

Regardless of the initial question,
could anyone comment on the other points?
The dimensions will be 6m long X 4,5 large, adjustable on the desired ratios.
I'd ideally like to have a small drum booth in that space, and also I was told that building a wooden structure would help the low freq. energy to dissipate, resulting in a better sounding room, is that better than building with parpen?
Also should the slayed walls be taken into account when building the room structure?
Thanks
Oh yes. It will help to keep that as a constant focus.I don't know whether the fact that it's a studio should be taken into account when building the initial construction or not.
