After about 1 1/2 years of reading forums, asking many stupid questions, (no doubt more to come!) reading Rod's book several times, I've decided on this floor plan. Given this floor plan with 9' ceilings, should I angle the CR ceiling, or treat it with a cloud, or both? Also, if angled....what angle? Thanks, James

Read this for as good as any a reply about angled surfaces. The short answer is maybe. Andre
What a great read...did I read some satire into John's replies as he seemingly played the devil's advocate?!!! I laughed out loud at your reply as well, and after reading the 2 page post, the answer is clear....MAYBE!!! I guess I'll stick with a flat ceiling, because at 9', I'm already lower than most professional rooms. Thanks so much for a great read!!
realize that you can still create angled surfaces - maybe just not boundary walls - consider angled ceilings are part of the process of building out a reflection free zone. it may also be useful for trapping or ducts etc.

I'm just paranoid about making a stupid costly mistake at this point. I'm about to purchase a camera, and start a new thread in the construction forum. I have already begun with demo work, and backfill. Crew coming in this week to finish the concrete forms, and dig footings. [/quote]
