it makes it tedious to find a thread, scroll down a page just to get to them. now that select studio build threads have gone sticky, it's hard to tell if they've been updated. i think it was a necessary nudge to have builders continue to add to their threads 'cause they didn't want to see it slide off the page.
and how about the non relevent sitcky topics about moderators who don't moderate anymore, can we delete those please?
this is all a bad idea, what about the poor studio builders who's studios have been judged not worthy of a sticky?
john
what's with all the stickies?

I'd agree there should be better organization there.
There is a sticky for completed studios.
perhaps the newly completed or nearly completed studios that are stickies should be there.
not a real huge concern, but I see you point.
Good point John - I've cleaned it up - any studios that have been completed that you think needs to be preserved (i.e given a sticky so it doesn't disappear down the list just PM me with a link.
cheers

Guys if I may just briefly chime in here, I think this site has recently undergone a bit of what we call in the U.K. the "If it aint broke, don't fix it" syndrome.
I didn't have a problem either way, and have always found any thread very easy to keep up with by checking the 'watch this topic for replies' box.
By definition the reference area is an area that contains a massive amount of valuable information for new and existing members to learn from, (If they can be bothered to read it of course!) One thing that all of the ‘stickied’ threads that you didn’t approve of had in common, was the huge documentation and pictorial evidence giving vast detail and insight into what had happened.
I feel that’s a little harsh, but do accept the point.and how about the non relevant sitcky topics about moderators who don't moderate anymore, can we delete those please?
I really can’t accept that anyone up here would be that judgmental. IMHO, a studio is not finished until you’ve had your first paying client walk away delighted with the results he got. Until that point, a studio is still under construction. Anyway, for anyone following any of those threads that have now been moved again, click back to the main forum index page, scroll down to the studios under construction forum, click on ‘Other Studios’ and there they are! :? :? How can that be easier than what we had 10 days ago, and have had for the last nine months at least? People are creatures of habit Personally, I would rather my own thread was moved back to its original location, so that the people following it can continue to do so as normal. Whether it’s stickied or not isn’t really an issue for me since it’s not finished yet. Let’s have the builds that are still in progress in the construction forum, and have only completed (fully operational to the builders’ intent) studios in a ‘Completed Studios’ forum, maybe even an overhaul of the ‘Build Diary and Completed Studios Thread’ It just seems more logical and easier to me. Kind regards, Lou. 8)what about the poor studio builders who's studios have been judged not worthy of a sticky?
my initial post did come off a bit abrasive, i guess i was in a testy mood, and should not have been posting 'till the mood wore off.
sorry guys. that said, i love the new clean look, much improved!
thanks john
ok lou, i see your point, it's hard to find your thread now, i hope it migrates back to where it was two weeks ago. i thought they would fall back into the normal threads.
Dude - We all go through mood swings, hell, it's what makes us human!
With the very greatest of respect, you honestly (as you know), went 'off on one a bit there, but, and I beg you to see this from everyone else's point of view, you have a post record of around 60 in nearly 3 years!!! no worries - don't get me wrong etc, but Brad and DH (who are now rightly senior members due to their contributions in around just 1 year) didn't bat an eyelid.
I'd never heard of you until last night, yet your post managed to get 'The Don Himself' to change everything!
You have a valid point Sir, and I, like many others up here, will naturally wish you well, and help wherever possible to see your project through.
Thanks for the last post John, nice sentiment!
Good luck bud,
Regards,
Lou. 8)
Right i'll ask the silly question...
Where is Lou's thread now :D its what i look out for as soon as i hit the forum
Chaps – Let’s keep this nice and civil, after all, we’re probably now involved in a design discussion rather than anything negative, and that’s what we do!

Can we also remember that we do not have the agro of moderating or modifying this site. That unenviable task is managed by others free of charge!!  Peace people, Warm regards as always, Lou. 8)Anyway, for anyone following any of those threads that have now been moved again, click back to the main forum index page, scroll down to the studios under construction forum, click on ‘Other Studios’ and there they are!
I'd be more than happy to spent some extra time cleaning up and making it more 'logical' and MOD around on this forum. We indeed have a few MODs who I haven't seen around for quite a bit :(
I second Ro as a modified moderator!
All in favor say rock on!!!
ROCK ON!
