Location: Huntington Beach, California Hi, I would like to set up a mixing room, so any help I can get from you guys will be great!, I’ve been researching but there are too many options and things to consider, so I’m not quite ready to start building it without some guidance. Room details: I’m posting a drawing with measurements (I hope is accurately enough). 3 walls are made of gypsum, 1 aluminum garage door, 1 window, 2 doors (the little one leads to a small closet, and the normal one to a storage room), the ceiling is acoustical title, and the floor has carpet all over. The space is half of a two-car garage in my house, so the wall that’s parallel to the one with doors is the garage door. Gear: ATC SCM20ASL Pro, Yamaha NS10, KRK Rockit 10 sub, protools HD, command8 control surface and 2 racks 6 spaces each with compressors and eq SPL : all speakers are calibrated at 85 dB it will never be louder. Goals: I would like it to be a mixing room, mainly for music, so stereo image and definition are key. The biggest issue is that i can’t build something permanent, I’ll be moving out next year and I’ll like to take the panels, absorbers-diffusers with me, so I am not sure if I can build a room in a room unless is something modular than can be disassemble. Neighbors are not my main concern, but i think i will need to block the window. Budget: $700, but I’m able to spend $1000 at the most. I all ready have 48 Auralex studiofoam panels, 4 Auralex T, 4 Auralex LENRD bass traps and 4 Auralex T diffusers Thanks a lot for all your help Jesse Alvarado

is that space already contained? or is it opened into the rest of the garage?
Hi Gullfo, thanks for replying. Yes, the space is self contained; is a gypsum wall, sorry it wasn't clear enough, thanks for any advice you can give me. Jesse
