Combining control and live rooms in a studio

Hi, Im being involved, (particularly in the acoustics) in the design of a studio being built from scratch. Its dimensions are 13m (L) x 9m (W) x 4.67m (H). No materials have been chosen yet. It will be owned by a 35 piece orchestra who will use it as a rehearsal space and a 'live' room for recording. I'm looking into having the engineer and recording equipment incorporated into the live room, taking out the idea of a separate control room. I can see advantages to having this set up, such as better workflow and communication between engineers and performers. Does anyone have comments to whether incorporating the engineer into the live room is a good or bad idea? Cheers,
one concern would be noise from equipment and engineering movements that might get picked up in the room mics. also, the recording set up would have to be done through headphones (and quietly) which might impact your perception of how the recording is actually happening.
How to fit 35 musicians in a 13x9 m2 room...
Thanks for those comments. The noise from equipment is one I'll have to give more thought but in relation to the sound perception through headphones, I was kinda thinkin that the engineer would be able to reference the actual sound in the room by just taking off the headphones. Then they could make adjustments to the sound being recorded to make it sound as accurate as possible or even better. What you think?
