Hi all,
My name is Tomislav Rupic and i am from Croatia. I am music
producer for the last 8 years and for the
last 4 years i am working as video editor.
First I would like to say how lucky i am to find this
great forum and i would like to thank you all
for you effort on making it as it is.
Well, I finaly finished my new house and i would like to make small
studio in one of the rooms. After lots off reading i finaly came
up with some designs, but i am little bit afraid will i do the right thing.
Soffits will be made on Johns design, Slot
resonators will be calculated after i mesure freq response.
Clauds will be hanging on the roof.
I will put some absorbes on back but i still dont know what and how.
Some other details: Walls are concrete blocks, floating floor (badly made) aluminium window (double glass), doors are acousticly treated(-36db).
So my qestions for secund desing are:
1. Am I doing something wrong, is this design ok?
2. For now I am using Alesis M1 Mk2 active monitors. Will they
be to far from one another (d-2m or 6.5 foot) ...I am planing
to buy dynaudio bm15 or Genelec in future and place them in soffits,
but for now should i place alesis in soffints or on stands.
3. What else can i do to get flat sound?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.
Best Regards,
Tomislav

Would you talk on this more, maybe a picture?...floating floor (badly made)...
For now room is empty, only desk and soffa and
whan i walk over the corners it makes sound and
is very flexible. I just afraid it will colour the bas sound.
Is it posible?
One more thing, isolation is not problem, i live in
house and my neighbourhood is ok.
Here are some measurements i did yesterday.
Mic used is Sony ECM-55B and has freq. response from
40Hz-20kHz and is not calibrated.
