How would you install this panel in a vaulted wall-ceiling corner for bass trapping? The panel is 2' x 4'. The angled part of the vaulted ceiling is 23" wide. Please feel free to take the Sketchup model, manipulate the panel in the vault, and post a pic or the edited Sketchup file. Sketchup file here: http://www.davidadamsmusic.com/images/studio/wall-ceiling.skp Thanks in advance! If you can't post the Sketchup File due to file size limitations, please email it to me at [removed], and I'll host and post the file for you.... Adam

Locate the diminsions of the panel on the above ceiling with a light pencil mark. Come inside those marks 2-3" both ways. I'm thinking that if it looked like it was simply "there" after the install this would be OK? Anyway, install a 3"(*) X 1/4" eyebolt at the located spots on the ceiling, into the ceiling joists/wood preferably. A smaller size eyebolt should be installed after pre-drilling into the four outside corners of the panel. Some small stranded wire and clamps can be used to attach it to the eyebolts. (*) 3" may be 1/2" too short or long so you get what you need ;) Thats my hack for the day.

Thanks! I have a method of hanging it - using some medium rated drywall anchors that hold up some picture frame mounts - to this a small chain is attached and connected to eye bolts in the panel. But, I'm trying to figure out the best way to orient it in the corner being that it has that 45 degree vault. Where do I place it? For my other wall-ceiling 90 degree corners, its a no-brainer. But this vault has me trying to figure out how to orient this to get the best air gap for bass trapping. Ideally, I would have a 4' x 4' panel, but that just is not feasible for me. Another question - do the sides of the panel need to touch the wall and ceiling or can they be an inch or two away from them?

Yeah, I actually posted in that topic. I had assumed the variable distance a corner provided behind a bass trap was ideal. I was trying to orient this panel within the vault somehow to get a good variable gap. I guess I'll just space it 4" from the vaulted part and be done with it... Thanks!
