Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice regarding a control room I'm thinking about building in the upstairs of my garage. The space upstairs is approx 15' wide x 19' long x 12'10" high The idea was to build a wall at each purline this would give me the 15' wide room. I could then fill up behind the wall with insulation, or should I use the extra space as part of the room? To help with the sound isolation from downstairs I am going to build another floor on top of the one in the pic's using first neoprene pads then 2x4's joists then 3/4" plywood and then the finished floor. I would only be using the room for mixing, the live area would be downstairs. Thanks for your help, Paul.

you can use that short space for equipment racks and bass trapping.
Thanks for the reply Glenn, If I use the space for bass trapping would the best way to go be like the picture's below using hangers in the space? Regards, Paul.
