I'm building a basement project studio. I've researched johnlsayers.com and gearslutz.com diligently and have come up with two designs to acheive my goal. Please lend me your opinion of which scenario is better:
Walls:
5/8 gypsum
rolled asphalt
5/8 gypsum
hat channel (gypsum attached to channel)
RSIC-1 clip
R30 insulation between joists
OR
5/8 gypsum
green glue
5/8 gypsum
hat channel
RSIC-1 clip
R30 insulation between joists
