When I build my panels, I would rather ensure that the mineral wool fibers do not go airborne in my room. As a result, I was considering using some polyester covering on the panels underneath the burlap. Here is a link to it: http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3205&PRODID=prd14437 Two questions.... Does anyone have any idea how using a polyester covering on first reflection point panels would affect mid/high freq absorption? For corner bass traps, I can use this without worry, correct? Regards, Adam
I have always heard that a good "rule of thumb" is that you should be able to breathe through it.
This rule of thumb only applies to mid/high frep panels, right? I wouldn't think it would matter for the bass traps. Am I correct in my assumptions?

Yes, you are correct. Pretty much any fabric is fine for corner bass traps. --Ethan
Thanks, Ethan! I appreciate it!
