Hi All!
I'm joining the ranks of many of you on this forum and I am currently converting my garage into my main workspace. My workflow is one that has me tracking live drums 5-10% of the time. So most of my time is spent sitting at my workstation programming or playing guitar and bass. I'm trying to make the most of my 17' x 24' space. My current plan is to have a machine room for computers and drives and an additional iso for vocals/amps that can double as a mini control room when I do occasionally have another musician over to play drums drums. The goal is to keep the main space as open and spacious as possible. I'm attaching my current idea of a plan. I'd appreciate any opinions/thoughts.
Werd Up,

i'd probably do something to make the mix desk position more symmetrical - maybe the isobooth next to the closet on the wall near the double door - and make the mix straight facing into the drum area (assuming you need to face the drums)...
