Hi all In my attempt to price this project I was thinking about using sliding doors to access the studio from the control room, these would double as the window, is this a terrible idea? Any pitfalls? here is a rough diagram of what I mean, sizes are estimates atm. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30 ... studio.jpg also anyone know the best place to get soundproof glass sliding doors in Bris Aus?
Some of the best studios in the world have sliding doors from the CR to the live room. Very common and effective. As far as getting them, your best bet would be getting the frames and having laminated glass put in yourself. IMHO
cool thanks for that, so can you buy seals for them separately? or would you buy a frame with the proper seals already in them for soundproofing. also whats the difference between laminated and double glazed?
