Hello all, I'm finally in the build phase of my project! For those interested, you can catch up on the design phase in this thread. The previous owners of my home converted the third garage bay into a room, which I am modifying for my control room. I don't do any recording beside the occasional voice-over work, so isolation wasn't really a consideration for this project. I've been working on construction for the last month, and thought it was a good time to post my progress. Feel free to post comments or suggestions! Thanks! Rick

This brings me up to my current status. Up next is patching behind the HVAC installer and sheetrocking the hallway entrance.

dont forget about fresh air supply joey
On the ventilation issue, I'm not doing any soundproofing in the room - just acoustic treatments. After discussing the ventalation concern with my HVAC guy, he determined that the room will breathe just like any other room in the house, so no separate ventalation is required.
