Can ventilation duct work for 2 rooms be handled with one silencer?
Check out the drawings below. Pay no attention to the dimensions and the fact that no return line is drawn in. I just want to know if the "concept" will work to still effectively stop mechanical/fan noise and crosstalk between the 2 rooms.
Note that I plan on having additional silencers in the "outside HRV shed" where the studio wall penetration will occur. Ventilation will be provided by a Fantech HRV. If it would work, it would save materials and much, much needed space.

i dont think so because the sound will pass from the iso to the control room.

It's hard to portray in the picture, but the seperate room vents openings will be on opposite sides. Sound would have to go through the entire maze in order to pass from room to room. I was hoping that all of the turns it would have to make would be enough....
What alternatives do you see?
i see what youve trying to do but i think you have to do duct to silencer in one room then another duct coming out of that silencer into another silencer. if that makes sense.
