Hello everyone, new to the forum. Got this link from someone since then have been reading through a lot threads. Photos attached are from the room. So you can see what it is. Next to a room where I record and mix, it's also my bedroom..so yeah putting my drums in the middle of my room and stuff is difficult. Anywayzz...when I especially record drums, I really have problems that the cymbals sound "washy". Pictures attached + a scheme of my room. Hopefully someone can give me some good pointers where to work on.

get some 4" rigid insulation absorption over the drums and mix desk. put a 2' wide 4" rigid insulation absorber over the corners. this should cut the close reflections off the ceiling to the overhead mics and trap some bass.
Not that I've earned my stripes or anything, but you want to seriously think about getting those drums out of the corner. Put them in the middle, back third of the room. After that, it looks like they are sitting on carpet. Bummer. Put some hardwood under them and treat the ceiling and corners as Glen suggests.
