18' x 12' bedroom convert into studio

Hi this is my first post, but before I send in my sketch of the condo bedroom I need to ask a few questions. Is it possible to sound proof a bedroom by building a room within a room. If that is possible is there enough room to build a control room and a small live room for recording amps and singers in an 18x12x8 room? (Will have enough room for a drum kit, or should I give up on that idea??)
