I bought a mini split ac unit for my small garage studio build. I've heard talk about ventilation systems.
Is my mini split system covering my ventilation (Fresh air) needs?

The short answer is no, it is not. You need a separate ventilation system for you fresh air needs if your room is sealed. If you have a functioning window or door DIRECTLY in the room, you can open that as needed to cycle you room air in and out.
