Hello friends; thanks to the forum!!! I m looking for good advices, this is the best I can do for posting. Before Posting more details Could any body tell me if this is the right index for that? Ive got a studio wich was just built into a house. I need acoustic improvement, I can`t make to much redesing But maye Ican install over the existing structure some acoustics devices. This is a multiintention studio, let´s say from broadacasting to clasic ensamble, and comercial cds.- First I´d like to improve the main recording room´s acoustic. Image 1 is a sketh up image Image 2 the same from north west view image 3 is a plan for general overview . The sfourth one is The specific studio effected area. Sorry I wanted the inverse order for the images... As soon as possible Iwill post more detail..... sorry about my english... I sepak spanish...

Here there are more details: The only acoustical tratement is a wooden frame filled with 5cm fluffy fiberglass between the studs mounted over a double Bick wall covered wiht novotex. I guess novotex is not the best choice for acoutical fabric. Any way I need to improve the acoustic´s room . The room does not sound bad, but does not sound good. Maybe to dead muddy and nasal. There is a tile ceiling installed, i´d like to keep. These 3 images shows a general sight. Next I´ll post some ideas for acoustic improvement...

I,ve read acoustic´s ethan´s tratementent. I,ve read John´s forum. I thing Maybe a mix of that two (ethan and Jons´s) concepts could be a good idea. I`m not an acoustic´s expert, the images you will see are just and idea. I gess the tile ceiling could be a Big broadband absorver, there is a 54 cm air gap( that´s a 1/8 wave lenght floor ceiling (4.22mts height). I thought For low absortion Ethan´s membrane low bass trap. I was thinking of two devices for covering the 150 to 500 hz absortion range: the Ethan ´s hi bass trap and the John´s solt resonator. Since the Ethan´s low-bass trap is effective at frequencies between about 80 Hz. and 160 Hz., the high-bass trap absorbs frequencies between 150 Hz. and 300 Hz. And john`s slot resontator this will create an absorber in the 150Hz - 500Hz range. (http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm) But an igame talks more than thousands words. Here you are some images details... A= Ethan ´s Low Bass traps B= Than´s Mid Bass trpas Johns Reonator, for the same low absortion than B plus some diffusion. C=this all gray areas for Mid Hi absortion, covering all empty areas . Big Slot reasonator, What size should be? Polis : 60x60cm. I thought in polis for some low absortion and difussion too...does it have any sense? What size the sholud they be. I,ve read polis size should be 1/3 length x 1/6 deep wavelength of the frecuency I want to spread As soon as possible I´ll post more images.

looks like a decent plan. the slot resonators should probably be configured for a wide audio frequency range rather than narrow audio frequency unless you can identify something specific that needs treatment. you can examine John's wall unit page to get an idea on how to configure the slats in terms of size and spacing.
