Hello Everybody!
Let me first say this place is great! You guys are very knowledgeable and hopefully you can help me out.
I'm looking to make a control / production room and small iso booth out of my 12 x 12 5th bedroom. I've mocked it up in Sketchup. The funning thing about the room is the HVAC duct that runs over the door and the small window.
Currently I have a RTA Producers Station as my main desk which houses my PT LE system. (check out pictures) When tax return comes in I'm looking to make things more permanent but don't know where to start. I've looked at a lot of the floor plans on this forum but can't piece them together to work with my odd room so i could use any assistance.
Thanks
Odd small room. What should I do?

Aloha and welcome to the forum.
Hang in there, as there are only a handful of guys (all with jobs, studios, builds, families, and life stuff) able to help and hundreds of other guys asking for help.
I've been tossing around some ideas to put up a skp file for your consideration.
In the meantime, might I suggest starting here to familiarize yourself with some of the workings and helpful tips (requirements) of the forum.

Aloha,
In Rod Gervais’ book “Build it Like the Pros,” http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5670 he points out both L.W.Sepmeyer’s & M.M. Louden’s formulas most widely used in professional studios worldwide. He also notes that the orders listed are (top to bottom) the first to third best ratios in both cases.
L.W. Sepmeyer
Height Width Length
1.00 1.14 1.39 7’4” x 8’4” x 10’2”
1.00 1.28 1.54
1.00 1.60 2.33
M.M. Louden
Height Width Length
1.00 1.40 1.90 7’4” x 10’3” x 13’9”
1.00 1.30 1.90
1.00 1.50 2.10
Eric Desart on Louden’s Ratios
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... ght=#64490
1.00 1.35 1.85 7’4” x 9’9” x 13’5”
It looks like Sepmeyer's ratios 7’4” x 8’4” x 10’2” will fit in your space so...perhaps something like this?
