if i have a room (finished dimensions) of 2m x 4m approx. would it be worth trying to seperate it into 2 spaces, or is it far too small?
im trying to get as professional as i can on a tiny budget.

2M by 2M room would have to be completely dead acousticly speaking...
i see a lot of people are going for an octagon-ish shape to the room with monitors in the "corners". my original idea was to have the monitors in the centre of the room facing back to each end (see attached idea) to create 2 areas. :?
Have you made any firm descisions on your layout yet? Is the window you are putting in just to let light into the room or do you need it to make the space usable?
Cheers
Alan
I think it maybe a good idea to make two small rooms? Maybe?
1m x 2m Ios room and 3m x 2m CR
There is a lot of info on this site if you browse around. Some of the charts and pined threads of Johns are invaluable. Check em out!
Generally the dimensions of a room should not be divisible by itself. ie 2x4, 2 goes into 4 twice. BAAAAADDDD!
I don't know? Show the experts that you have done a bit more research and I'm sure they will come to your thread.
All the best.
PS The thread probably needs to be in the design area not the construction area?
