Ok, well here is a space that I want to build up. I have a budget at the moment of about $4000. I don't need to worry too much about soundproofing and I'd like to get some advice on some layouts. You'll notice on the east wall an area that is 15x10" that is a bathroom and a staircase leading to a door to another unit that will be an emergency exit only, so I'd have to avoid building in front of that. What I'd like to have is a large drum room, an iso booth big enough for two guitar rigs and a control room that'll house a 7' console a 2" tape machine and a 1/2" tape machine. I'd like to put those behind the console so that as I face the console I can see the machines in front of me (like electrical audios room B ) two 5' high outboard gear racks and a couch. It'd be great to also have a smaller storage closet that can double as an iso booth as well. THE CEILINGS ARE 14' I didn't include that in the image. thank you, Eddie

So this is what I started to come up with in terms of a basic layout. I know I should angle some walls etc but I'm not quite there yet. Between the Large ISO booth and the mix room I want to put a storage area. The entrance is right by the bathroom and I'm thinking of building another ISO there so that everyone can see each other when tracking live. Eddie

Is that a Sketchup drawing? If so can you post the skp file?
I can't see it being done for that budget. Revise the budget or reduce your expectations. Sorry, Andre

Here it is, thank you. As for budget, I'm getting quite a bit of material free, drywall, 2x4s and plywood and some construction will be done in exchange for studio time. I'd like to see what ideas people may have out there anyway, so please share your thoughts. Thank you, Eddie

Thanks Glenn, that's pretty much what I was thinking but you've made it more professional and I'm able to see where I should be heading. I may forgo the large booth for now just to get things up and running. Any other ideas? Eddie
