I have the opportunity to build a commercial studio in a new warehouse with an outlook to parklands. Vapor studio in Spain has used a window in there CR. The light comes in, you can look out, its a great idea (I think). Is this a really expensive luxury? Why don't more studios have natural light? Why don't more studios have windows? PS This is the 3000th topic in 'studio design'
lol So what are you saying, that it IS an expensive luxury??? If a studio with 20 Avalone's can afford to put lots of windows in then I probably can not? ?
it depends. if you don't need a lot of isolation (windows and isolation in the same sentence usually is costly) and have the space to deal with the acoustic reflections and possible resonances, windows can be a great edition. some of it also depends on heating/cooling, lighting aesthetics, etc. i prefer more windows and skylights, but many folks are building in underground or enclosed locations.
