Good afternoon everyone!
I've got a design posted in the design forum, but this is more of a construction question. I've created a sketchup file for everyone to take a look at. I'm hoping that someone can look at it and confirm that I've interpreted Rod's construction designs correctly for an independant ceiling system (based on figure 10.9 pg 240 of his book).
Please note the foam pink fiberglass insulation- this idea is taken from Mike Holmes (Holmes on Holmes). You glue that right to the foundation, tuck tape the seams, expansion foam the spaces at top and bottom, and you get a nice flat surface to work against. Please let me know if this will cause the dreaded "third leaf." I didn't think it would as it's just additional surface on the poured concrete foundation. Is it even necessary? Holmes indicates that it creates a great seal to help prevent moisture getting through.
Although I don't detail the fluffy pink insulation in the space above the independant joists and below the subfloor above, it will be there in the build. The grey insulation between joists is going to be Roxul AFB.
Is the firestop done correctly?
Comments, as always, are appreciated!

perhaps you could make an export of the skp file and post it here as an image, might be easier for the viewers ;)

I'll post these pics- hopefully, they give enough views for people to get an idea of what I'm planning on doing.
