Hello all, space that I might be getting has two rooms, but they are right on top of each other. Is this a good idea. How will I be able to make this work. The first floor I wanted to use as the control room to really just do vocals and the second floor will have all the instruments. I was thinking about a floating floor on the second with insulation in between.
Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance

You may want to provide more info -
What currently separates the two rooms?
Is there an existing floor there and what's it made of?
Joists - what size, span (this will determine weight to be added on top of deck)?
Column supports?
Is the room currently finished with existing wallboard or do you have a clean slate?
Stairway up to the second room? is it within the structure or outside with a door above?
Flat roof vs angle...
These are all factors I see discussed here. There are many studio build examples here with multiple levels. barns, warehouses, basements...
as always a clear and informative guide is rod's book - search amazon for "rod gervais"
