I am currently working on a drum booth that is on a stage that i play on. Our goal in building this is to minimize the volume of our acoustic drums and mic them for more control as this is a very small room in a larger building (a church). we have it built on a wood box filled with insulation. The walls consist of plexiglass on two walls and its in a corner so standard on the other two (the walls face outside so no sound worries there) and a pegboard roof. Also we currently have mattress pads for soundproofing. Obviously, this is an extremely tight budget so I was wondering if anyone could offer advise on cheap improvement.
Budget for improvement- $200-
Current need- Less sound escaping
Suspect Problem- Plexiglass/ Bass Drum
