Studio Design Tips

Hello all. First time poster and reletively new to recording. I am having a designer draw up a set of plans to refinish my basement - those plans include a new control room and live room. Any suggestions re: possible design features, wall treatments, built-ins, etc. is appreciated. Thanks, Nick.

maybe building the isolation walls in a rectangular fashion will allow room for treatment walls to be built. unless these walls are all planned to be inside out. and even then there is still a need for bass trapping etc. and with solid boundary walls it would be hard to add the depth needed.
