Well after a bunch of revisions I think this is the direction I would like to head. The budget is about $40K and construction won't begin for at least two years but I thought I would get some opinions. The design criteria were that if we sell the house I some of the rooms have to be considered habitable, hence the windows. I also wanted room for a pool table and to park our 4 runner if I felt like it hence the carriage type doors in the live room. Any thoughts, criticisms, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I've attached the floor plan in jpg format and the sketchup file can be found here (its a 2M file even after I deleted a bunch of stuff). Many thanks, Jed

Me thinks Glenn might have too much time on his hands  7 posts and this mutli use room in under 45 minutes. All its missing is a bed 8)  Peace Tom Jed, Actually looks pretty nice for the layout
Well its actually the vocal booth... there's probably going to be a bass trap in the corner by the sink that look suspiciously like a shower as well. Multi tasking rooms are far cooler than specialized rooms. Jed
When that drummer says "thats my best shit"...he really means it!!!
cool! a dedicated bathroom for vox! very nice touch! this way you're bound to get the best performances from people who are "sing in the shower... as far as a bed... stretch out across the washer.dryer and fridge, otherwise, no time for sleep
