Speaker beside speaker

Hello...

at first i just want to praise this forum. I read a lot of interesting posts here and really learned a lot.

Now i have a question i can´t find an answer for. I have the Genelecs as main speaker in my room. Standing on free stands with a distance of 1,9m. Now i have a second pair of monitors (yamaha) which i would like to place between the main speaker (also on free stands).
Does placing the second monitor pair have any negative impact to the sound field of the genelecs (frequency, stereofield)....should they be placed at the same "room depth" (in the same line) with the membran of the main speakers or farther away than the genelecs to avoid any reflections? how do others solve this? Where do you place other Monitors like Auratones...
