Sub question

Post by Phunkeman »

I use a sub in my control room and I recently renovated with a hard floor and new work desk.

When tranfering gear over to new desk I got lazy and only hooked up one channel of sub going to my control room monitor controls.

The other day was reading something about sub set up some where and it mentioned hooking up both left and right out of sub. I have done it in the pass out of just symmetry.

My question is how big a deal is it ? Being sub frequencies and thier characteristic. Oh in a small control room.
16' 2" x 13' 7"

Thanks

presumably you have bass frequencies in each channel? if so, then wouldn't you want those to a) be present in the sub output b) filtered from being passed to the monitors?

Yea! Thats right ... (popping sound as head coming out of butt) Didn't consider the filter on the other channel. That's what i get for being lazy.
Thanks
