Neoprene Rubber Thickness?

Hello,
The floor I'm putting in my studio will be floated on 2x4's on their sides (to conserve room height.) I live within 30 minutes of a rubber factory that I am going to contact about possibly supplying me with the neoprene pads. What I need to know is, what to ask for? Thickness, etc, or anything else that is relevant.
If I have missed this info on this group then I apologize.

1/2" - Neoprene durometer of 60

How about this:
I was out at my local music store and they have an Auralex display up. They had a sample of the U-boats for floating floor joists. I noticed that the U shape is the same size/thickness all the way around. Could I purchase say a third of the U-boats that I need, cut them into 3 pieces and mount them onto the joists? Or am I rocking the boat here?

Cheaper to buy neoprene straight out instead of trying to work around.
I floated 2 rooms for about 60 bucks in neoprene.

I can't find any sources locally for it though and everything I search for on the net is like sheets of 1/8" neoprene. Where can I get the correct stuff at?

Though this is out of state, I can;t imagine the shipping being more than 15.00 bucks ups ground.

Hello,
Well, the local rubber factory is not returning my messages, so I guess I have no source for it at the moment either. I went through the building materials section, but didn't find any info for FB Wright. I did a search for them on yahoo and their website was no longer active. Did I overlook it?
Any more suggestions?

Here again is a great link that helped me find a 24"x 48"x 1/2" 60 durometer Neoprene sheet for $50.00. Enough to float two 12x12 rooms once I cut it up into 2x3" strips.

I was able to find two different companies here in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area within the first two or three pages of listings...had to drive @20 miles, but it was worth it!

I contacted FB for the neoprene and here's their reply:

Steve,
What's your opinion on the Auralex U-Boats? I got a sample in which looks pretty good.....do you have a feeling either way (even regarding cost efficiency)

Don't do Auralex!!!!
FB Wright has the correct 1/2" thick 60 duro neoprene availible

Sheets are 36"x12" I am having mine cut into 36"x2" and then I will cut those myself into 2"x2" pucks. Each 36"x2" strip is under $4 and you get 18 pucks out of those strips which makes each unit about 22 cents each as aposed to Auralex for $1.75 in bulk each!
