Here's a strange suggestion, but I have found it works beautifully if you don't mind the sound of the ada 8000 preamps. Put the digi002 in your control room, the ada8000 in your booth. Use 2 toslink adat cables to connect the two devices. They are very thin. I bought two 30 ft cables and the communication works flawlessly. Hook the outs 1 and 2 of the ada8000 to the main ins of a Behringer powerplay headphone amp. Use the other ada8000 outs into the powerplay's aux ins for custom headphone sends. This setup requires no complex wiring between rooms. Plus because the signal is converted to digital in the booth it is exempt from rf interference on its journey to the control room. Just make sure to set the digi002 to master and the ada8000 to slave. An elegant optical studio solution. All you need then is to spend the rest of your money on monitors, mics and stands...perhaps a beautiful vocal preamp to improve on the ada8000's preamps.
