Dear John!

After going through some of constuction footages of greymans' studio i have found that TOTAL WALL THICKNESSof its' studio is 362mm .....250mm Brick wall (both sides plastered) + 75mm sealed air cavity + 25mm insulation + 12mm plywood, would you please tell me by using such construction how much STC can be achieve?

I am quiet favorable for using gypsum solution rather going for plywood. Painted and non-painted also effect some how in acoustics ?

charoo - I can't give you an exact figure but it would be pretty good. Plastering both sides of the brick increases the STC of the brick wall.

check the hollow concrete block down the page - rendered increases the STC by 3db.

cheers
john

thanx
