Hi there,

Another quandry about my new venture - Meow Mix.
I am considering using Yamaha HS80s/HS100SW for 5.1 surround monitoring of my PT Control 24 rig. Primarily for stereo monitoring and 5.1 when/if it is needed. Figured it was cost efficient to plan for 5.1 now and fit it into my CR design.

Has anyone had any experience with this speaker type -Soffit Mounted? Any other brands/systems to consider? I already have 2-HS80s and the HS100SW for my 002 Rack system and like them so far.

Thanks for the reply... I am also considering JBL 4300 series for the tuning ability...but I already have a pair of HS80s /HS10SW... and I like them so far, so figured to add another 3 (about $1,000). They are sitting on my console (read dining room table with padding underneath) right now. Wondering what Soffit mounting will do to their performance.
