Hmmm........Might be a bit on the expensive side, but you could stitch braided shield together and give it a good solid earth ground. It would have a shimmering effect.

after wiring the studio out he'll probably have enough braid strands in the carpet to do just that ;)

Thanks John.......! :D

BTW... I noticed the pics aren't the same resolution as what I sent you (they're much more fuzzy) The size of the pics on your site are larger, yet the resolution is lower?!?!

Do you need me to send you files in a different format? (I believe I sent you 50% compressed JPG...)

I didn't resize them at all - but I did lighten some of the shots as they appeared too dark and you couldn't see the detail.
I'll post the originals if you like.

No big whoop! Just curious.... no need to change 'em! :)

I'll make sure the next batch is bright enough!

Question on your soffit construction....

Post by LDQ »

Hi Bruce,

Can you tell me for what reason you didn't make the soffit wall... reflective...I can see you placed wood above and below the speaker hole but not on the side. Instead you putted some rockwool...unless you are planing on covering it later???

Let me know...I am in the process of building mine for my studio.

Regards,

luis.

Hey Luis,

The soffit wall is now reflective -- 5/8" wood on the entire front fascia and up the sides to the cream-colored area...

Pics are coming as soon as the builder is done with the finishing!

Thanks Michael....

I had some prospective clients by last night to have a tour... they had just come from one of my competitors (whose place I had only seen in photos).

They were blown away - saying my competitor's place couldn't hold a candle to it. It's bigger, more comfortable, and has a much better vibe! (Their words!)

That's encouraging -- nice to know how my place compares to my competitor's from a client perspective!

:)
